sg qualies begin tomorow - calf (12/11/00)

so far 11 teams are in the 2v2 tomorrow(sat Nov 18th). registration ends at 8.30pm tomorrow, so if u wana play but ur name aint at this link jus icq me uin = 7504704 before then and you will be added in!! ** the brackets will be regenerated at 8.55pm tomorrow and the matches will start at 9pm exactly so please be in the channel by 8.45 or it will be walkover!! the channel is singapore on server 216.148.246.9,its a best of 3 pony and me will be there with more details!

the official map to be used will be this which is actually Bobs lost temple map converted into melee which he edited so the minerals are nearer(like 6) and 12 natural and second nat can have scan. the rest of the map is the same.

the only automatic qualifiers is the team of ahboo and theretired since they are the reigning the 2v2 NTU server champions

so far 14 pple are in 1v1 but only 6 teams in the 2v2! heres the chance to prove ure the best 2v2 singapore team!! the top 3 winners from each will be in the sg team. if a person A has signed up for both and qualifies for both then A will have to choose which match he would prefer to play, and the next seeded guy/s will take the slot A rather not play in.

excelsis would like to "obs the matches and hope to make some cool reports..." so please dont ban him from the games!

This is the matrix speaking. We are currently testing a new program which would enhance our control over the miserable Creators. this was supposed to be a news update from [aLt]BeefSteak aka cow....but our powers override him. certainly, cos we are THE MATRIX. do you really think what you are reading is really on the alt website? are you even sure you're seated in front of your monitor? ahaha actually you're having your hair shaved now. anyway, this news update is pretty old...we were finishing this program when the events occured so it'll be slightly out of date. but bringing the populace up to the current events is paramount to their well being...hence we shall post it even though the matrix is slightly... problematic. pssst....i am gay! so is hahaguy. oops that wasnt meant to be there.

news bit Alpha: Pony, after recently winning the melbourne cup race with his pitifully short legs compared to them WAR HORSES...has decided to take a short breather of about...2 months and retire to his padded stables T_T he'll be back to starcrafting soon anyway. all the best and congrats to ponpon^^ for winning the melbourne cup!

news bit Beta: announcing a new member of [aLt]!! this new, wonderful and talented guy has joined alt SOLELY because a particular penguin joined alt and assumed the weird nick of [alt]friction. dont ask me what it means. but this new guy (actually a seal from the antartic and he plays solely TERRAN^^) wants to eat the penguin and so he joined alt and his nick is..... news bit Gamma: scg has also announced his retirement from starcraft for about 4 weeks... only for a brief respite. i have exams coming up....starting 23rd nov and ends 5th dec. darn my b-day falls inside!! !@&*#$^#@ anyway i was offline for a few days cos the matrix was being updated and so much has happened....you humans always surprise me. hmm the 2v2s play-offs are scheduled to be held on the 19th of nov but my exams start 4 days after that...which means there's gonna be trouble. shit i shouldve told cow of my coming exams...i'll think of something...

2)UMM... we seem to have organized a little fun Singapore vs Australia tournament. Australia as you know, is the country where you find strange and downright ridiculous creatures! They get their name from the fact that they look like bats, and are all FEMALES! So we call them "wom-bats" like how "wom-an" is to "man" get it? How they reproduce is still one of the great unsolved mysteries of animal sex.. but one thing is for sure - they are GAY! And that is just the wildlife in the land down-under.. i shudder to think what the starcraft players are like... HMM... ok now they hate me cos they think i called them gays so i will shut up now. Maynard and [SA]MOO - [aLt]pony

Over at the site formerly known as Tao, there is a new recorded game featuring Cow's favorite pro-gamer, Maynard.

If you read Cow's posts in the forum, he said, "...maybe i get to see miguel bombach tomorow!!". Miguel, of course, is Maynard^^ Anyway, of all the recorded games that python has made, I think this is the *ZZANG one. So check it out, cos Maynard does a gosu PvZ strat which gives him map control which allows him to expand blah blah.. just go DL it ok? The is lots of fighting and you never know who will win till uh, one of them leaves without a "gg" hehe!

Hmm.. also I read in the montaro.org forum that [SA]MOO died of cancer T_T... I don't know if this is true.. but if it is, its really sad =[ [SA]MOO was high in the Tao Ladder I think, and was #1 the last time I checked. Cow and I actually joined a 16 player tourney on bnet a while back which [SA]MOO organised. Me the chobo promptly lost in the first round and COW the gosu won the whole thing using only terran LOL! The 2nd place guy was really bad manner and started accusing cow of hacking.. he was like, "if you beat me = u hack" or something. I think we have it somewhere maybe in the SS or Quotes section.

[SA]MOO had obsed the game and he stood up for CoW. He proceeded to ban the sore loser from the channel... After that they had a brief conversation and from my impression and CoW's, MOO was a really cool guy. They played a few games the next day I think, and CoW told me he was a very good player. Cow likes to moo and he liked [SA]MOO. T_T it is sad indeed..

There was a time long ago where we used to play on the private server(ntu), cow and some of us had some fun using the nicks of name players... cow has come a long way and is now having lunch with the people he used to look up to..^^ So is this it? Is this how it must end? Has the CoW found greener pastures? Will he abandon us to become a pro-gamer? Will he get laid? Will he take many pictures of korean chicks? STAY TUNED! tee-hee^^!
